     Larry Parker is a leukemia survivor.  Now he wants to help other patients experience that same miracle.

     During the long road to recovery, Larry and his wife, Linda, came up with the idea that they wanted to help other leukemia patients.  They established the Parker Miracle House Foundation with the express goal of providing housing without charge for leukemia/lymphoma patients and their caregivers.

     In October of 2006 the Parker's partnered with the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge and have renovated a house for leukemia/lymphoma patients located at 273 Calhoun St in Charleston.  Patients from across the state, as well as other states will be able to stay without charge during their treatment and recovery in this "home away from home".  All money donated goes directly to the Parker Miracle House Foundation for the purpose of funding and furnishing this house and patient care.
